The latest COVID-19 data has been released by the Mississippi State Department of Health.
The MSDH is confirming 262 new cases of COVID-19 with an additional 22 Mississippians passing away from the virus.
* 9 of the reported deaths are from prior weeks identified through death certificate investigation.
Today’s report brings the state’s total number of cases up to 8,686. To date, 396 Mississippians have tragically died from COVID-19.
As of Monday, 4,421 people in Mississippi have recovered from the virus.
