The new total number for coronavirus cases has reached 249 positive cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi. There is still only one reported death and it was a 60-65 year old male with underlying health conditions.
According to the state health department website, 1,392 people have been tested. With those numbers, 17.9% of people tested are coming back positive.
The virus has now spread to 55 of Mississippi’s 82 counties with Hinds county having the most positive cases at a total of 24.
