The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting 511 new cases of COVID-19.�
Today�s report brings the state�s total number of cases up to 78,405. With the confirmation of 8 additional deaths, 2,248 Mississippians have now passed away from the virus.�
The latest hospital data published by the MSDH (Saturday�s report) shows a continued decline in overall hospitalizations.�
State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs posted similarly encouraging news on Twitter on Sunday, but he warned that hospitalizations could rise in the coming weeks.�
We are very pleased to see a decline in daily COVID hospitalizations.

On a positive note, the MSDH is now able to estimate that 62,707 Mississippians have recovered from COVID-19.�
