After a handful of lawmakers recently tested positive for COVID-19, Governor Tate Reeves announced yesterday that he and his family had been tested for the virus.
This morning, the first-term governor went to social media to inform his followers that he, his wife, and their three daughters have all received negative test results.
My girls and I tested negative for COVID-19. Limited contact with the people who were diagnosed, but better safe than sorry! If someone you know gets the virus, get a test! Back with a 2:30 briefing tomorrow.

He also used the post to say that he will be having another press conference tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. In yesterday’s briefing, Reeves said the media “ignored” covering the virus for weeks as protests took place across the country.
